Where are your classes held?

Our classes are held in our beautiful and spacious studio, which features in the images on this website.  We are an accessible venue and a fem positive, safe space.  We seek to include, respect, educate & support growth.  We expect the same from attendees and students.

We are located in a historic and significant warehouse space in Marrickville, a short walk from Tempe station, Marrickville Station, light rail and bus stops.  There's plenty of on street parking and a large carpark out back.  There's 2 or 3 cafes open during the day and a takeaway shop open til 8pm, all within 50m.

When are your classes held?

Level 1A and Level 2 classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm

Level 1B and Level 3 Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm

Level 1A Intensives are generally held on the 3rd  Saturday per month 10am to 1pm(but this varies occasionally and may even be a Sunday!)

Level 1B Intensives are generally held on the 3rd  Saturday per month 1.30pm to 4.30pm(but this varies occasionally, as above.)

Intensives are great for those who can't attend weekly classes or as a supplement.  Please note that the intensives are, well, pretty intensive!

We try to jam as much as we can from the month long classes into the Saturday class.  Obviously this is not possible so we may not cover the

whole curriculum and move much faster than the monthly progression.  8hrs just doesn't fit into 3 hrs!

Focus Worshops occur every couple of months on a particular Rope or Kink related topic.  Generally on a Sunday afternoon and advertised

on the website here with the nominated subjects and on Instagram as they approach.

We also hold privately organised group classes for birthdays, hens days, festivals etc, along with private tuition on an appointment basis.

What do I need to bring?

Level 1A classes require you to bring nothing except a can do attitude, comfy clothes and a water bottle if you want.  We provide rope for class.

You're welcome come as an individual, couple, friends, or group.  You will be tying on yourself.

Level 1B classes require you to bring 3-4 lengths of your own rope, cutters and someone to tie with.

Level 2 classes require cutters, 3-4 of your own ropes for the TK element, 5-6 ropes to begin floorplay, 7-8 ropes and suspension gear for partials.

Level 3 classes require 10-12 ropes, cutters and suspension gear.

You can purchase rope and any other equipment required from the studio or elsewhere if you chose.  Instructors may request certain

equipment not be used in their class for safety reasons.  That decision is theirs to make, is based on saftey alone, and is final.

How do I know what class to book?

Level 1A skip this class if you know how to tie, without assistance and to a reasonable competency, the following: single column tie, double

column tie, hojo cuff (with half hitch and without), no dome, san ten dome (fig 8 friction), taiko dome (circle friction), the two larks head

based rope joins, a simple spiral futomomo, rope bundling and have a reasonable grasp of rope tension.

Level 1B skip this level if you can tie an Akechi style 3TK with reasonable tension and without assistance.

Level 2 skip this level if you can tie a suspendable Akechi style TK in under 7 minutes, have competent upline skills and know everything you

want to know about floorplay.

Level 3 skip this class if you know everything you want to know about suspensions, rope tension and handling, rope play and advanced

concepts including neck rope, face rope etc.

How does the Pricing work?

Level 1A progresses over the first 4 Tuesdays each month.  The price is per person and covers the whole month.  If you miss a week, it will

make it harder to catch up on what you missed, but its not impossible.  You can elect to redo that week with the next months class at a

reduced fee for that week only.  If you need to spend more time practicing this level before confidently moving on, then you can simply

purchase another month.  This is not unusual and people progress at different rates.  There's no pressure.  Our member packages (per

person) provide unreal savings and value to Level 1 students.  Effectively membership will get you 4 ropes, free attendance at our

Thursday practice night and as many 1A or 1B classes as you need over 6 months.  (All for the cost of 1 x 1A class, 1 x 1B class and 3 ropes!)

Level 1B progresses over the first 4 Wednesdays each month.  The price is per person and covers the whole month.  If you miss a week, it will

make it much harder to catch up on what you missed, but its not impossible.  You can elect to redo that week with the next months class at a

reduced fee for that week only.  If you need to spend more time practicing this level before confidently moving on, then you can simply

purchase another month.  It is unlikely that you will be able to take turns tying or being tied with your partner.  This is not unusual and

people progress at different rates.  There's no pressure.  We provide learning value for both tying roles and we strongly support that both

roles require and deserve education.  Our member packages (per person) provide unreal savings and value to Level 1 students.

Effectively membership will get you 4 ropes, free attendance at our Thursday practice night and as many 1A or 1B classes as you need

over 6 months.  (All for the cost of 1 x 1A class, 1 x 1B class and 3 ropes!)

Level 2 and Level 3 do not require weekly attendance to progress, however more frequent attendance will result in retaining more or your

learning and assist progression.  It is suggested to continue training weekly, as well as at-home practice.  The price is per person, per week.

Member Packages at these levels effectively get you one person at half price, free rope practice nights and discounts on in-studio gear

purchases.  HUGE value!

Member Packages are available and provide exceptional savings and value!
